This course is intended for the whole radiation oncology staff, including MDs, medical physicists and RTTs.
The team is already performing IMRT and IGRT treatments, and wishes to offer SBRT treatments of thoracic lesions to its patients.
The program is designed to give participants a clear view of the entire SBRT process, from diagnostic imaging to follow-up.
All practical problems that may be encountered while implementing SRS, i.a. questions regarding the use of MRI for diagnosis, tumor delineation, and follow-up are addressed and answered. In addition to the IGRT registration handbook, a reference manual dedicated to SRS is provided to every participant.
The emphasis is resolutely on clinical applicability : all the concepts taught during the course can (and will be) used in clinical practice at the end of the day. A practical workshop checks learners’ understanding under clinical conditions for image registration, and a final examination (both theoretical and practical) is performed at the end of the course.
